Philly employers, here’s how to join the new Tech Industry Partnership – Technical.ly

There’s a new place for Philly tech employers to swap notes.

This fall, Technical.ly hosted the latest meeting of our employer-led Tech Industry Partnership, first launched with the City of Philadelphia’s Department of Commerce in the spring. This partnership connects government to employers, ensuring that all stakeholders in Philadelphia’s thriving tech industry have a clear say in its future.

During this convening, we spoke about the diversity gap in tech, and our leading group shared some insight on what challenges and success they have as they continue to build their workforce. The lively conversation was filled with actionable advice, and folks were eager to connect with one another beyond the hour.

With this new partnership, we’re aiming to engage Philly’s brightest tech leaders to shape the future of this meeting series. The partnership’s advisory committee will pull from their collective decades of experience to create discussion topics, pull impactful insight, and share their authentic takes on what it takes to grow Philadelphia’s thriving tech workforce. We’ll focus on a variety of topics including workforce pipelines, best retention practices, tech industry outlooks and operational feedback.

Our advisory committee for the upcoming year includes:

  • Sarah Foss, CIO, Audacy
  • Brian Dainis, CEO, Curotec
  • Marc Coleman, CEO, The Tactile Group
  • Cynthia Plotch, cofounder, Stix
  • Nicole Pumphrey, managing director, Per Scholas

This past meeting may have met in person, but future meetings will be held on Zoom quarterly. These meetings are open to all leaders of tech-based organizations who want to connect to similar businesses, and will be a space for those in the tech industry to exchange tips and discuss relevant trends.
