MDMA Could Legally Be Used To Treat PTSD – DJ Tech Reviews

MDMA and Psilocybin Proven To Help With Mental Health Treatment

MDMA could be made available in hospitals in the USA from 2024 to treat PTSD and depression.
A recent trial found that it was an effective treatment for people with PTSD.

In this new medical trial, 90 patients with PTSD were given either a placebo, 80mg, or 120mg doses of MDMA. Which equates to a similar found in a common ecstasy pill.

The sample group of patients then participated in 90-minute sessions with a therapist to talk about their experiences and conditions.

Researchers will begin the process of gaining drug approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). This could be approved within the next 12 months.

In this medical test, patients wore eye masks and were given headphones, which played music.
They were then given a small booster dose of 40-60mg around two hours into the treatment.

The results were surprisingly positive with 88% of participants having significant improvements in their symptoms after their third therapy session.

Two-thirds (67%) saw so much progress that they no longer showed enough symptoms to be diagnosed as having PTSD.

Researchers have believed for many years that MDMA helps patients to open up to psychiatrists and talk through their trauma, by quietening the amygdala, which is the part of the brain that processes fear and threat.

This news follows up on another exciting medical testing report from earlier this month.

A US study found that psilocybin, the active ingredient in magic mushrooms can improve symptoms for people suffering from depression.

Interesting times for science indeed.
